Privacy policy
At Sleepeers we treat your data with the same care we put into designing the sock: only what is necessary, and in plain language. This policy explains what data we process, why, and what rights you have, under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD).
1. Data controller
- Controller: Sleepeers Textil, S.L.
- Tax ID (NIF): B12345678
- Address: Calle del Descanso 33, 28001 Madrid (España)
- Contact email: socks@sleepeers.com
2. What data we process
- Purchases: name, email, phone, shipping and billing address, products purchased and amount. You enter your card details directly on Stripe’s payment page: we never receive or store them.
- Contact: name, email, order number (optional) and your message.
- Launch waiting list (Kickstarter) and newsletter: your email, language, the models you’re interested in, the dates you signed up and confirmed (double opt-in) and where your visit came from: the page where you signed up, the link’s campaign parameters (UTM) and the domain of the website you came from. This data, including your email, is also used in our own marketing system, from which we send you the launch updates.
- Browsing: technical data needed for the site to work (for example, your cart stored in your browser) and, only if you agree, analytics and advertising data (see the Cookie policy).
3. Purposes and legal basis
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Managing your order: payment, shipping, returns, guarantee and after-sales support | Performance of the sales contract (art. 6.1.b GDPR) |
| Complying with accounting, tax and consumer obligations | Legal obligation (art. 6.1.c GDPR) |
| Answering your questions via the contact form or email | Your request and our legitimate interest in helping you (art. 6.1.b and 6.1.f GDPR) |
| Telling you about the Sleepeers launch on Kickstarter and its availability, and sending you news and the newsletter | Your consent (art. 6.1.a GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time |
| Preventing payment fraud | Legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f GDPR) |
| Measuring visits and showing advertising | Your consent via the cookie banner (art. 6.1.a GDPR) |
We do not make automated decisions that produce legal effects on you, nor do we profile you for that purpose.
4. How long we keep your data
- Purchase data: for the duration of the commercial relationship and then for the legal periods (6 years for accounting records under the Spanish Commercial Code, plus the limitation periods for the guarantee and legal claims).
- Contact enquiries: as long as needed to resolve them and no more than 12 months afterwards.
- Waiting list and newsletter: until you unsubscribe. If you don’t confirm your sign-up, we delete your email within 6 months at most.
- Cookies: the periods stated in the Cookie policy.
5. Recipients
We do not sell your data. We only share it with those who need it to provide the service:
- Stripe Payments Europe, Limited (Ireland), which processes payments.
- Courier and delivery companies, to deliver your order (name, address, phone and email).
- The web hosting provider of this site, located in the European Union.
- The email service provider for the waiting list and the newsletter, if you sign up. We don’t share your email with Kickstarter: on launch day we send you the link to the campaign.
- Google and Meta, only if you accept analytics or advertising cookies.
- Public authorities, judges and courts, where required by law.
6. International transfers
Some providers (for example, Stripe or Google) may process data outside the European Economic Area. In those cases, the transfer is covered by a European Commission adequacy decision (such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework) or by the standard contractual clauses approved by the Commission.
7. Your rights
You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability at any time, and withdraw any consent you have given, by emailing socks@sleepeers.com with the subject «Data protection». If we need to verify your identity, we will ask you for additional information.
If you believe we have not handled your request properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es) or with the supervisory authority in your country.
8. Security and minors
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data: encrypted connections (HTTPS), restricted access and storage of order data outside the public part of the server.
This website is not aimed at children under 14. You must be of legal age to make a purchase.
